Journal of Agricultural Technology (JAT)
1. Title and Scope
The Journal of Agricultural Technology (JAT) is a peer-reviewed publication of the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti.
It provides a platform for disseminating original research, reviews, and short communications in all areas of agriculture including:
* Agricultural Technology and Mechanization
* Crop and Animal Production
* Fisheries and Aquaculture
* Horticultural Science
* Agricultural Extension and Management
* Climate-Smart and Sustainable Agriculture
2. Editorial Structure
The journal is managed by an Editorial Board composed of:
· Editor-in-Chief
· Managing Editor
· Departmental Associate Editors (representing all departments)
· Editorial Secretary
· External Advisory Members
· Technical/Production Editor
The Editorial Board oversees policy formulation, peer review, production, and publication ethics.
3. Publication Frequency
The journal shall be published Quarterly (March June, September and December).
Each volume shall contain original research articles, review papers, and field reports relevant to agricultural technology.
4. Peer Review Policy
All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two qualified reviewers. Reviews shall focus on originality, scientific soundness, relevance, and clarity. Final acceptance will be based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the editorial board’s decision.
5. Ethical Standards
The journal upholds the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors must ensure:
· No plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification of data
· Proper authorship acknowledgment
· Disclosure of funding sources and conflicts of interest
· Ethical approval for studies involving animals or humans
