This study investigates the role of digital marketing in modern political campaigns, with particular emphasis on its influence on voter behavior. The research adopted a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative survey data from 400 respondents in Lagos State, Nigeria, with qualitative insights from political campaign strategists. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis to determine the extent to which digital marketing strategies affect electoral decision-making. The findings reveal a high level of exposure to digital political content among voters, with over 70% of respondents indicating that social media platforms significantly influence their political opinions and choices. Inferential analysis shows a strong positive relationship between digital marketing and voter behavior (r = 0.68, p < 0.05), indicating statistical significance. Regression results further demonstrate that digital marketing explains approximately 46% (R² = 0.46) of the variation in voter behavior, highlighting its substantial predictive power in modern elections. These results underscore the growing importance of digital platforms such as social media, targeted advertising, and online engagement tools in shaping political communication and voter participation. However, the study also identifies key challenges, including misinformation, data privacy concerns, and ethical issues associated with microtargeting. In conclusion, digital marketing has become a critical determinant of political campaign success, significantly influencing voter awareness, engagement, and decision-making. The study recommends the adoption of ethical digital strategies, improved regulatory frameworks, and enhanced digital literacy to ensure the positive impact of digital political communication on democratic processes.
